Pete Karabatos
Peter Karabatos joined SVB as a Senior Trader in Foreign Exchange in 2011. Peter advises corporate clients on customized hedging strategies used to mitigate foreign exchange exposures.
Mr. Karabatos has managed foreign exchange and interest rate risk over a career that spans nearly 15 years within the capital markets. Prior to joining SVB, Peter worked for Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), American Express, and ING. He worked in both sales and trading of these products. Peter also spent some time working as a product manager for Financial Software Systems, a vendor of capital markets software applications.
Mr. Karabatos earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler School of Business and his master's in business administration from New York University's Stern School of Business.
