Miranda Rapp joined SVB Asset Management (SAM) in 2017 as a portfolio advisor and is based in San Francisco. She is thrilled to have a role within the innovation ecosystem, working with companies that bring life-enhancing ideas to fruition.
Before joining SVB, Miranda was a portfolio analyst at City National Rochdale, an investment management firm. As a valued player on a four-person team, she was involved in daily trading, asset allocation changes and portfolio rebalancing for more than 300 clients. Early in her career at City National Rochdale, she worked as a portfolio design analyst, preparing customized analyses and proposals for individuals and institutional clients.
Miranda holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Francisco State University, where she majored in finance with a minor in decision sciences. She also earned her master’s degree in financial analysis and investment management from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga. She is currently undergoing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation process. Having completed Level I, she is now a Level II candidate.
In her free time, Miranda volunteers with several nonprofit organizations, supporting a range of causes, including financial literacy, animal welfare and K – 12 literacy. She also enjoys traveling, cooking and staying fit by running and exercising.
