Matthew Scott


Matthew Scott is a managing director on the enterprise software relationship management team for Silicon Valley Bank. In his role, Matt partners with enterprise software companies and their founders and guides his clients to the many growth opportunities available through leveraging the breadth and power of the SVB platform. As a former founder, he understands the challenge of scalability for early-stage businesses, and he is passionate to help increase the likelihood of other founders’ success by facilitating advantageous connections throughout the SVB enterprise and his network in the innovation community. Matt deeply values supporting his clients as their visions come to life. Matt’s career has been spent in the innovation economy as a founder and venture investor in New York City. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2022, he was a managing partner for the Basecamp Fund, a VC fund backing early-stage founders building transformative software businesses across industries.

Before that, Matt was a three-time founder and operator of early-stage VC-funded businesses; he was a member of the founding team at Integral Ad Science (NASDAQ: IAS), where he led business development. His previous roles also include founding team member and chief revenue officer at Suzy Consumer Intelligence, where he scaled the business to 150 employees and more than $30 million in annual recurring revenue. Additionally, he founded and launched a commerce infrastructure business incubated within a leading VC fund.

Matt holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in American literature from Tulane University. He is an active volunteer as co-commissioner of the Rowayton Football Club youth soccer team in Norwalk, CT, and coaches for the Norwalk Bantams Junior Lacrosse League.

After living in New York City for many years, Matt recently moved to the Connecticut coast with his wife and their three young children.
