Mary Toomey, Managing Director/Relationship Manager with SVB Private Bank and Wealth Advisory, serves a unique group of clients comprised exclusively of the investors and leaders who fuel the global innovation economy. Using a consultative approach, Mary seeks to understand each client’s financial opportunities, challenges and needs; and then identifies viable credit, deposit, wealth management and financial planning solutions designed to enhance their personal financial goals and success. Her goal is to free clients from the complexities of personal finance so they can stay focused on what they do best; which is finding, funding, founding and leading the innovative companies that are transforming the world as we know it today.

Mary has been working with entrepreneurial leaders, investors and emerging growth companies since arriving at Silicon Valley Bank in 1993. Prior to joining the private client team in 1997, she worked in SVB’s technology division, providing a full range of commercial banking services to venture-backed tech and life science companies. Her background and experience offers an insightful and deep understanding not only of her clients’ businesses, but of their personal income structures and balance sheet complexities as well.

Before relocating to California, Mary spent 12 years with Barclays Bank of NY (as predecessor to The Bank of NY) working in middle market commercial and real estate lending. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Simmons College, Boston, MA. She has held her CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation since 2004.
