Danielle Smith is a vice president of relationship management at Silicon Valley Bank Canada. She’s responsible for building client and ecosystem relationships and working alongside startup C-suites as they leverage SVB’s platform to scale. Danielle collaborates with an array of SVB leaders to optimize the client experience and is particularly focused on delivering a world-class platform that differentiates SVB across all key players in the market.
Before joining SVB in 2022, Danielle was the senior director of growth and partnerships at Intersect, the strategic tech services and innovation arm of CoreLogic. Prior to Intersect, she held a series of senior roles at top agencies, investment firms and startup incubators, including TWG (acquired by Deloitte Company in 2021), ScaleUP Ventures and The DMZ. These roles helped her build a broad network of entrepreneurs, investors, corporate partners and stakeholders in Canada’s startup and technology ecosystems.
Danielle loves working with startup founders and feels privileged to support and advocate for them as they take on challenges and navigate how to best grow their businesses and succeed.
Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and marketing management from Ryerson University in Toronto. When she’s not working, she volunteers as an organizer of events and programming at PropTech Collective and several women-focused organizations across the Canadian tech ecosystem. Danielle is passionate about culinary arts, travel, and spending time outdoors, particularly at tiny, off-grid cabins. She considers herself “the world’s biggest dog lover” and relishes the time she spends with her Egyptian rescue dog Layla.
