Weston Rice

Weston Rice recently moved out from Austin to join Silicon Valley Bank’s Enterprise Software team as a Director, helping guide the organization’s efforts in supporting Bay Area tech companies across the enterprise software vertical.

After graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Economics, Weston moved to Dallas and began his career at Countrywide, helping design, implement and oversee an REO management system that ultimately rolled out across the organization. In 2008, Weston joined Silicon Valley Bank’s Dallas office to support the local deal team and its efforts in the local entrepreneurial community. Over the next few years, he took increasingly senior roles within SVB and completed his graduate degree at Southern Methodist University with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurial Strategy. Shortly after completing his MBA, Weston moved to Washington, D.C. to take on an expanded role within the bank in a more robust technology market.

Weston moved back to Texas in 2014 to launch and manage the Austin and Houston efforts for Cypress Growth Capital in conjunction with the firm raising its second growth capital fund. Weston rejoined SVB in 2016, to help guide the bank’s business development and portfolio management efforts across Texas, providing guidance, capital, and banking services to enhance their probability of success.
