Travis Dugan
Travis Dugan is a managing director for SVB Asset Management in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is responsible for leading a team of portfolio managers who oversee customized, separate account portfolios for SAM clients. Travis is passionate about helping clients find the foremost investment solutions to meet their current — and future — needs. An experienced leader with more than 25 years of experience in fixed-income investments, Travis enjoys providing mentorship and support to his team as they strive for excellent investment results for clients.
Before joining SVB in 2022, Travis was a senior portfolio manager for the short duration fixed-income team at Allspring Global Investments. He was also a senior portfolio manager for Wells Capital Management for more than 10 years, where his responsibilities included oversight of short duration, separately managed accounts for institutional clients and managing represented accounts for the firm’s six-month and one-year benchmark compositions as well as several other composite accounts.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 15 years at PIMCO in several roles, such as vice president in the middle office and as a portfolio manager. There, he managed liquidity investments and executed financing trades for the firm. He also managed short duration separate accounts and conducted regular portfolio reviews.
Travis holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Travis lives in the East Bay of Northern California with his wife, their three daughters and their dog, Bella. Outside of the office, he enjoys coaching soccer for his daughters, riding his mountain bike, snowboarding and playing golf.
