Tim Hardin

Tim Hardin is the Regional Manager and Managing Director for Silicon Valley Bank’s Fund Banking team in New York. He most recently led the Corporate Banking division for SPD Silicon Valley Bank, a joint venture bank in China owned by Silicon Valley Bank and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Prior to his assignment in China, Hardin was SVB’s Global Risk Manager, with the primary responsibility for loan approval and risk management in markets which included China, India, Israel, and the UK. Hardin was also responsible for risk management in the U.S. bank’s sponsor finance and corporate finance groups.

Hardin first joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1995 and his previous management roles have included overall responsibility for the bank’s Northwest division (offices in Seattle, Portland, Denver, Chicago and Minneapolis), commercial finance division and SVB Capital. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, he served roles as a technology lender, investor relations and an economist for U.S. Bancorp beginning in 1987.

Hardin earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Oregon, where he is a past president of the alumni association board, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
