Pooja Rajput


Pooja Rajput is managing director, head of healthcare corporate banking for Silicon Valley Bank in New York, where she is responsible for North American healthcare corporate banking coverage. She is passionate about the healthcare industry, as well as building a positive and authentic team culture. She routinely advises clients on strategic financing and helps them to achieve their business financial objectives.

Before her current role, Pooja spent a decade at J.P. Morgan, most recently serving as managing director on the healthcare corporate banking team. There, she managed some of the largest global healthcare relationships for the firm and advised her clients on strategic M&A and cross border financing transactions as well as topics such as optimal capital structure and liquidity. Earlier at J.P. Morgan, she was on the international banking team, covering some of the largest multinational corporations expanding in the US.

Pooja earned a bachelor’s degree in financial economics, business administration from St. Catherine University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also holds Series 24, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.

Pooja is an active volunteer and fundraiser for Educate Girls, a nonprofit organization in India focused on mobilizing communities for education in rural and underserved areas, specifically seeking to improve access to primary education for young girls.

Pooja lives in Scarsdale, New York, with her husband and their two daughters. Earlier in Pooja’s life, she operated a dance school in Chicago and choreographed Snoop Dogg in a Bollywood movie called “Singh Is King.”
