Paul Cominsky, CFA


Paul Cominsky, CFA, is head of liquidity advisory based in the greater Philadelphia area and he manages a team of liquidity advisors. Paul and his team lead the client relationship and business development strategy that positions SVB’s liquidity products and investment management capabilities to meet the ever-evolving demands of the bank’s corporate cash management clients. He and his team identify the products and services that can best help satisfy clients’ cash and liquidity management needs, which span across banking and investment management platforms for early- to late- stage enterprises. They are focused on building and strengthening relationships with clients and helping clients preserve capital, satisfy liquidity needs and optimize return so clients can concentrate on their core business.

Paul’s extensive experience includes 19 years with J.P. Morgan Asset Management. During those years, Paul was part of a team responsible for growing the liquidity/short-term fixed-income asset management business, which managed liquidity for corporations, government entities and financial intermediaries. During his tenure, J.P. Morgan Asset Management grew to be among the largest global managers of short-term fixed-income assets.

Earlier in his career, Paul held portfolio management, business development and management roles with various asset managers within the investment management industry. Paul holds a master’s degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Scranton.

When not at work, Paul enjoys golfing, skiing and traveling. He has two daughters and lives with his wife in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
