Michelle is a marketing and strategy leader with nearly 30 years of experience developing and inspiring teams that grow market share, reinforce brand leadership, build customer loyalty and cross-sell products and services. At Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) she integrates the corporate strategy, marketing, R&D and client experience capabilities to best serve its clients and create real business results. Her leadership and relentless client focus are directed at SVB’s mission to increase the probability of its innovative clients’ success.
Understanding the unique needs of the global innovation economy, Michelle has strengthened SVB’s client experience capabilities by building teams focused on strategy alignment, experience design and customer insights. Under Michelle’s leadership, SVB launched its “Make Next Happen Now” campaign to tell the stories of the entrepreneurs behind SVB’s clients.
Before joining SVB, Michelle spent nearly two decades at Charles Schwab as the company grew from 3,000 to 14,000 employees. As a member of the senior management team responsible for business-to-business enterprises, she oversaw a range of functions from advertising to brand management and client communications. Michelle also served as a director of investor services segment marketing, and vice president of advisor services marketing programs, developing marketing strategies for both the retail and institutional sides of the business.
Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, has completed NASD licensing for Series 7 and is a brokerage principal under Series 24.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and visiting the US National Parks.
