Michaela Brady
Michaela Brady is the vice president of global markets, financial technology, for SVB UK. As part of the UK Branch team in London, she works with founders, C-level executives and investors to help them strategize the best paths forward for their businesses. In her current role, she focuses on banking strategies that support Series A startups from the early stages to the public option.
Michaela thrives in the dynamic financial technology ecosystem of London, which is where she developed her career. Before her current role at SVB UK, she was a vice president of credit solutions for Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) in Santa Monica, California, a position she moved into from her role as a senior associate in SVB’s structured finance division. Immediately following her graduation from college, she participated in SVB’s Associate Development Program, where she received firsthand experience in banking and the innovation economy.
Michaela earned her bachelor’s degree in history and classical and medieval studies from Bates College. She is currently a weekly volunteer with Re-engage, an organization that provides social connection for older people, and participates in SVB’s annual Tech Gives Back event to team up with other SVB employees, clients and partners to create a positive contribution to their communities. When she’s not working, Michaela enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, cycling, traveling and going to musicals.
