Matthew Reiswig

Matthew Reiswig is a vice president in SVB’s Portland, Oregon office, where he and the StartUp Banking team work closely with Pre-Series A technology company founders, setting them up to succeed as early as possible. It’s a role he relishes for its immersion in the cutting-edge Pre-Series A ecosystem.

Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and sport management from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He began his banking career as a teller with Wells Fargo and worked his way up to Member Center manager with Valley Credit Union, a division of CEFCU, in San Jose, CA.

Matthew joined SVB in 2011 as a relationship advisor, moving up to associate in 2015, and vice president in 2018. Throughout his banking career, he has been known for his ability to develop long-term relationships with his clients and solve complex issues on their behalf. In 2019, he earned Six Sigma Black Belt certification, the highest award for organizational leadership, project management, and analytical thinking given by the Management and Strategy Institute.

When he’s not working, Matthew enjoys playing and watching sports — especially basketball — and reading books with his daughter.
