Julie Young


Julie Young is a director, relationship advisors for Silicon Valley Bank. She serves global fund banking west coast Venture Capital and Private Equity clients, as well as emerging managers across the United States. Julie’s team is a key contributor to the tremendous growth of the fund banking practice due to their dedication to clients and their white glove service. Julie joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2010 and her tenure includes leading successful client service advisor teams and opening the office in Tempe, Arizona.

Julie considers her greatest asset to be her stellar team of Silicon Valley Bank relationship advisors, and she gets great satisfaction from the thanks and praise. She leads her team with the philosophy of making banking as easy as possible for clients.

Julie has more than three decades of expansive banking experience in customer service, bank operations and international banking, primarily in leadership roles. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, she was a senior vice president with Bank of America, leading operations and treasury management services. Her experience in those roles included audit and compliance, risk management including anti-money laundering policies, OFAC regulations and other aspects of handling cash across international borders. Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Banking School.

She believes it is critical to establish a connection with teammates at all levels because everyone has something valuable to share. Julie lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Outside of the office, she volunteers for Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation in the boutique to support newly adopted dogs and cats as they transition to their forever homes.
