Joe Koontz
Joe Koontz is a Director of Credit Solutions with SVB Private Bank where he advises on and provides tailored credit solutions for innovation entrepreneurs, executives, and their families. A veteran of the Silicon Valley business community, Joe readily identifies with his regional clients, and enjoys helping with and being a part of their business, financial and personal success.
Joe specializes in the analysis of his clients’ complex balance sheets and compensation structures, and finding new ways to meet their personal financial goals with a focus on leverage efficiency and creativity. The opportunity to work with some of the most creative and entrepreneurial individuals in the world is what fuels Joe the most, and of course, helping them achieve their full financial potential.
Before joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2010, Joe worked at Wells Fargo, where he focused on loan, debt and credit management — he had a lead role in the launch of the bank’s home preservation initiative. And before Wells Fargo, he worked at Bank of America, where he held roles in their consumer banking division, providing banking and credit solutions for clients. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University.
Joe spends his free time coaching his nephews in baseball, traveling with his wife, enjoying the outdoors, and cheering on Bay Area sports teams.
