Israel Garcia is a relationship advisor for Silicon Valley Bank in San Francisco, where he focuses on serving software and internet clients. In his role, he advises clients on operation and deposit products and ensures coordination with other internal teams if more specialized expertise is needed. Israel is passionate about working with clients on their financial needs and loves to make their day through his work — he feels banking should be the least of his clients’ worries, and he works hard to make that happen. He is excited by the future success of his clients, his career path with the bank and the growth of Silicon Valley Bank. Israel has more than eight years of experience in banking and financial services.
Israel has been a relationship advisor with the bank since 2021. Before that, he worked for SVB Financial Group as a branch client advisor, private banking, where he managed a large portfolio of private equity and venture capital clients, learning the needs of technology clients and the process of raising funds. He also assisted in operations to gain a deeper understanding of the internal structure and processes of SVB Financial Group. Earlier, Israel worked for First Republic Bank as a preferred banker associate in their venture capital and private equity group, providing white-glove, day-to-day service to clients. He began his career as a personal banker for U.S. Bank and a bank teller for Wells Fargo.
Israel holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Stanislaus. He is fluent in Spanish, having attended grade school in Mexico, where he learned to speak, read and write the language.
When not working, Israel loves to travel, and he tries to visit a new country or city every year. He is also an avid photographer.
