Darrell Leong

Darrell Leong joined Silicon Valley Bank as a Managing Director in 2021. He is the Head of Investment Research for SVB Asset Management and is responsible for leading a team of analysts and overseeing the research process that includes the corporate bond, asset-backed securities and sovereign debt sectors.

Darrell has 20 years of investing experience in the asset management industry. Before joining SVB, Darrell was a director of the investment portfolio for Wells Fargo. Prior to that, he was a senior analyst focused on credit and equity investments for Overland Advisors, a multi-strategy hedge fund.

As a creative problem solver, Darrell finds inspiration in leveraging new approaches and technologies to provide clients with excellent service. He relishes the opportunity to help grow SVB, mentor talent and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

Darrell holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Darrell is a Bay Area native residing in San Francisco.
