Andrew Hunter
Andrew Hunter is a managing director for Silicon Valley Bank’s UK Branch. He has 11 years’ experience of banking in both the UK and the US, and has 9 years’ experience of working specifically with mid-market venture backed businesses.
Andrew works within Silicon Valley Bank’s Accelerator and Growth group, where he manages a varied portfolio of clients, and oversees the structuring of proposals to provide debt capital and specialised financial services for venture-backed technology companies. In addition to this role, Andrew is responsible for building out Silicon Valley Bank’s presence in Ireland.
Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, Andrew was a relationship manager for Lloyds Banking Group’s Growth Finance time, where he provided funding for growth, capex, acquisitions and refinancing of venture debt facilities. He also spent time within Lloyds Banking Group’s New York-based Corporate Banking Credit Team.
Andrew is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, and also holds an MA in Management from the University of Durham, and a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
