Mark Thylin
Mark Thylin is head of structured fund solutions for Silicon Valley Bank’s Global Fund Banking. By applying SVB's unique platform and exceptional expertise of lending to firms, global fund banking has offered holistic and flexible solutions, including innovative liquidity and fund-level debt, for three decades.
Mark is responsible for teams in New York and Denver that seek to build lasting relationships with private equity (PE) firms, private credit (debt) funds and secondary funds. His area of expertise is crafting creative, asset-based lending solutions to the PE ecosystem — for any genre of investment thesis — for clients in the US, Canada and Europe.
Mark has more than 25 years of financial and accounting experience within the investment and innovation economy. He began his career at Silicon Valley Bank in 1997 and has spent nearly 20 years in a number of roles with the bank. Most recently, Mark was as a region manager for global fund banking teams in Denver, Chicago and Toronto. During his tenure, he has worked in offices in Northern California, Arizona, Colorado and the UK. He has also served in a variety of financial positions for companies that include Robertson Stephens Investment Bankers, Level 3 Communications and McKesson Health Solutions.
Mark currently resides in Denver, CO where he earned both a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
