Cheryl Day


Cheryl Day is a senior relationship advisor with Silicon Valley Bank servicing Southern California markets in San Diego and Orange County. She is on the commercial bank, startup and venture-funded teams and focuses on relationship development and management, new account planning and structure development with deep knowledge in fraud prevention and internal and external mentoring. Cheryl is passionate about working with clients to help them fully understand the best methods for avoiding risk and how to make the best use of the tools provided by the bank. She enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and internal partners who know they can count on her.

Cheryl has been a banking professional for more than 20 years with experience in account, product, treasury services and loan documentation for startup to growth clients in technology and healthcare; she has highly detailed expertise in training, compliance and fraud protection. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, she worked for a competing bank similarly aligned within the technology and life science space.

Cheryl earned her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a volunteer puppy raiser and donor for Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance to dogs at no charge to the recipient. Cheryl has raised five service dogs while working at Silicon Valley Bank.

Cheryl describes herself as a true New Yorker at heart. She grew up in a small farm town south of Buffalo.
