Tina Tran

As a vice president in SVB’s Early Stage Practice group, Tina Tran keeps pre-seed and pre–Series A entrepreneurs on the fast track to growth. Her responsibilities include bringing in new client relationships, managing multiple portfolios and engaging clients at SVB and tech events/socials. She’s an ace at managing her clients’ relationships and has enjoyed working with SVB’s Stripe Atlas Program, which helps entrepreneurs swiftly sail through the choppy waters of starting a global internet company.

Tina draws inspiration from her clients. She loves hearing about how an idea becomes a dream and then a reality. Tina also enjoys one of the great perks of the market — trying out new technologies designed by her clients.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from San Jose State University, Tina launched her banking career in asset-based lending at Heritage Bank of Commerce, before serving as a servicing loan officer at California Bank & Trust. Tina has also savored a taste of entrepreneurship herself, having opened a clothing and fashion store with vendors from Etsy and other local Bay Area artists.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with family and friends trying out restaurants and attending festivals. She volunteers her time at local food banks and animal shelters several times a year, in addition to providing annual support to Susan G. Komen, women’s shelters, Light the Night and Humane Society. Both an avid cook and a fan of going out on the town, Tina is a connoisseur of the good life in the Bay Area who loves adventure and she says she’s always down to try anything once!
