    Michael Fell is a seasoned credit risk manager with over two decades of experience in lending to the technology sector. As part of SVB’s Leveraged Finance and Sponsor Coverage practice, he oversees the credit risk function for the bank’s sponsor finance business, including all cash flow and recurring revenue structures for bilateral or syndicated deals. Michael leads a team that is responsible for new loan approvals and credit quality across the technology and healthcare IT verticals.

    Michael joined SVB in 1999 and held various roles supporting the bank’s early stage and growth portfolios until joining the burgeoning sponsor finance business in 2006. Since that time, Michael has held various sales and credit titles over this time with responsibilities ranging from sponsor coverage and sales, underwriting, and portfolio management to credit officer and loan workout and restructuring leadership roles. He was the recipient of the Presidents Club Award in 2011 and 2012 for his sales achievements.

    Michael earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Stonehill College in Easton, MA.
