Faisal Mostamandy
Faisal Mostamandy is a 14 year veteran of Silicon Valley Bank and is currently a Vice President on SVB's NorCal Frontier Tech team dedicated to Hardware and Deep technology companies based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His clients range from commercial drones, consumer and enterprise robotics companies, to companies building semi-chips to enable the wider commercialization of AI and ML technology. He also has a personal interest and focus in construction technology.
Between 2014 and 2017 as an Associate on SVB's Entrepreneur Banking team Faisal advised and managed a portfolio of pre Series A, angel/seed funded start-ups.
Prior to this he assisted Series A funded hardware, infrastructure and enterprise software companies with a host of banking needs such as cash management, FX, and more. He also seeked to add value in ways that went beyond the traditional; including finding trusted partners to help clients with 409a valuations, office space, and temp-CFO's.
Previously, Faisal was an Associate with SVB Securities (SVBS) where he traded Fixed Income and Money Fund investments for the Bank’s clients. He advised clients with excess balances of $1 million to $5 million on SVBS investment opportunities. As an SVBS Associate he also ran the daily OBS Sweep Repo service. At the time Faisal held both the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Faisal joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2006 as an Operations Specialist focusing on east coast VC and PE clients.
