Edward Lee
As a credit research analyst, Edward performs continuous fundamental credit and relative value analysis on US and Yankee bank issuers, and on corporate issuers within the Capital Goods and Transportation sectors, for the benefit of short-duration fixed income portfolios managed by SVB Asset Management. Utilizing industry sector expertise, Edward offers buy/sell recommendations to portfolio managers on corporate bond/CP issuers, manages single-name credit and liquidity risk across accounts and provides resident expertise on sector developments for the broader team.
Edward joined SVB Asset Management in April 2024 with 11 years of credit research and investment experience, ranging from roles in investment grade fixed income to frontier market private debt lending. Before joining SVB, he performed fixed income credit research for DWS Group, the asset management subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, in support of liquidity and short-duration corporate SMAs as well as cash and fixed income mutual funds. Prior to that, he worked in credit risk management for Standard Chartered Bank and helped launch a private debt fund in Mongolia for SGI Frontier Capital, since then acquired by Cerberus Capital Management. Edward began his career as an officer in the Marine Corps, operating the EA-6B Prowler aircraft and serving at the rank of Captain before resigning his commission in 2012.
Edward holds a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley and an MA in international business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. He is a CFA charterholder.
