Dax Williamson


Dax Williamson is a managing director of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) in Austin, Texas. He leads the bank’s efforts to increase the success of the dynamic Central Texas market by providing guidance, debt capital and banking services to emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs in the innovation economy. He joined SVB in 2008, where he led business development teams to spur growth and entrepreneurship in the North Texas and Phoenix areas.

Dax began his career as an analyst with Wells Fargo’s US Corporate Banking Group, supporting Fortune 1000 companies in the Southeastern region of the US. Upon earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, he gained valuable public markets experience, managing publicly traded equity portfolios for high net worth and institutional clients for Rushmore Investment Advisors and Westpark Capital.

Dax holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Christian University. When not working, he spends his time actively supporting organizations and activities that bring focus to the Southwest region as a technology hub, including the Austin Chapters of the CFO Leadership Council, The Alpha Network and Techstars Austin. Additionally, he is actively involved with CASA of Travis County, whose mission is to advocate for, and support neglected and abused children in Central Texas. A native Texan, Dax lives with his family in Austin.
