Chris Canazaro
Chris Canazaro is based in Portland, Oregon and is the Co-Head of Corporate Banking Credit Solutions.
Since joining SVB in 2014, Chris has been a trusted advisor to tech companies at all stages. A strong mentor, he previously worked as a market manager in the greater Atlanta area, leading regional teams across six offices providing SVB’s unique platform of debt options to clients across the innovation economy. Prior to that, he held team-based and leadership roles with the Technology Banking Accelerator and Growth Relationship team covering Oregon, Southwest Washington and Idaho.
Chris graduated from the Florida State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He went on to complete an MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Oregon in 2012. He launched his career as a senior quality assurance engineer at Bechtel Corporation, working on large-scale industrial construction projects nationwide, and as a commercial banker for Wells Fargo.
Chris loves trying new restaurants and exploring wine country with his wife, Renee, and their children. Mountain biking and any time spent outdoors are a plus for him. He has moved 15 times and lived in 11 states but says his 2021 move back home to Oregon, for a position as a senior credit officer for the Wine Division, was hopefully his last.
