Abbey Honegger
Abbey Honegger is a senior associate for SVB’s Strategic Capital Group (SCG). Based in Boston, Abbey assesses the creditworthiness of disruptive technology companies and crafts strategic capital solutions that address their increasingly complex needs; these include junior debt options (mezzanine and convertible debt) specifically tailored to growth-stage enterprises. Though she mainly focuses on the East Coast deal flow, Abbey supports the group’s portfolio management and data analytics on a national level as well.
As a newer member of her team, Abbey thrives on learning from her network of experienced and connected colleagues; together, they help clients push through financial barriers on the way to the next breakthrough. Abbey is also passionate about taking deep dives into underlying technologies and accompanying business models of the companies that the SCG serves.
Abbey first joined SVB as part of the bank’s Associate Development Program on the East Coast. While in the program, she supported four different lending teams that focused on a diversity of segments within the innovation economy. These included medical devices, digital health technology, hardware, consumer products and enterprise software. Earlier in her career, she served as a credit risk analyst for Bridge Bank in Boston and as a finance and accounting specialist for Fitlife Foods in Tampa. Abbey holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of Tampa.
