SVB Financial Group Sponsors 2006 California Governor and First Lady's Conference on Women

SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 25, 2006 - SVB Financial Group (Nasdaq: SIVB) announced today its sponsorship of the 2006 California Governor and First Lady's Conference on Women, which will be held on September 26, 2006 in Long Beach, California. SVB Financial Group will send a delegation of its female employees to participate in the day-long event to represent the company and its commitment to building better communities in the geographies in which it operates.

The conference, which calls on women to make significant contributions through volunteerism and community service, will feature more than 60 world-renowned speakers and panelists, including authors, reporters and business executives, who will address the issues and topics most important to women today. This year's special guest speaker at the event will be His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
