SVB Financial Group Appoints Chris Edmonds-Waters Head of Human Resources

SANTA CLARA, Calif., December 19, 2007 - SVB Financial Group named Chris Edmonds-Waters head of human resources and a member of the company's executive management team. Edmonds-Waters is responsible for leading the human resources team and developing programs to support SVB Financial Group's ability to effectively provide diversified financial services on a global scale.

Edmonds-Waters joined SVB Financial Group in 2003 as the director of organization effectiveness. In that role he led a group of human resources business partners as well as a team of learning and development professionals. He was responsible for driving company performance through effective people strategies. Prior to joining SVB, Edmonds-Waters held numerous human resources positions at Charles Schwab & Co. and Macy's California.

Edmonds-Waters has a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and a master's degree in human resources and organization development from the University of San Francisco.
