New Appointment Strengthens Local Team


HERZILYA, Israel, SANTA CLARA, Calif. and LONDON –– February 1st 2011 — SVB Financial Group (Nasdaq: SIVB), the parent company of Silicon Valley Bank and financial partner to technology companies and venture capitalists worldwide, today announced that it has appointed Gadi Moshe as Head of Origination for SVB Israel Advisors Ltd. ("SVB Israel"). In this role, Gadi will be responsible for enhancing SVB Financial Group's business development efforts in the technology and life sciences sectors for the Israeli market.

Gadi brings more than 13 years experience of financing technology and life science companies in Israel to SVB Financial Group. Having begun his career at Union Bank of Israel, Gadi later joined Bank Hapoalim before transferring over to Plenus Venture Lending. He went on to establish ETV Capital's Israeli office in early 2005. Gadi is fluent in Hebrew and English and holds a BA in economics and an MBA in finance and technology from Tel Aviv University.
