Ms. Rush joined Boston Private in 2019 as Executive Vice President, Commercial Real Estate and Private Equity Sponsors, after thirteen years with Bank of America. She is an active member in the CRE community, serving as Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Boston Market Council and Board Member of the Real Estate Lender’s Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University.

In addition to Ms. Rush’s appointment, Boston Private is pleased to welcome Eve Hoefle to the CRE group as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Team Leader. Ms. Hoefle will oversee the growth strategy of New England CRE and institutional private equity relationships.

Ms. Hoefle returns to Boston Private after four years with CRE developer and operator Two International Group, where she served as Director of Asset Management & Acquisitions. She previously served as Senior Vice President, Private Banking & Specialty Lending for Boston Private, where she led a large team serving the credit needs of nonprofits, private equity and venture capital enterprises, and professional services firms, as well as high-net-worth individuals in New England. Prior to Boston Private, she was the Chief Operating Officer of private equity firm Brookwood Financial Partners, L.P, where she served in several senior roles over 17 years from the inception of the firm. She began her career with formal credit training and eight years of credit analysis, origination and structuring of highly-leveraged transactions at Bank of Boston. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University.

“Over the last two decades, Boston Private has built a robust commercial real estate practice, one uniquely adept at meeting the needs of private and institutional real estate investors,” said Jim Brown, President of Commercial Banking. “Emily Rush and Eve Hoefle are extremely accomplished professionals who couple technical knowledge with deep relationships and engagement in the real estate community.
