Luiz Rabelo

Luiz Rabelo is a director in the technology banking practice for Silicon Valley Bank. He serves venture capital-backed technology startups in Florida to provide strategic advice and banking services, including debt financing. He enjoys being a trusted partner to VCs and founders by helping them source and deploy capital. Luiz is most excited by the challenge of finding solutions for the unique needs of each client. He recently opened the first SVB office in Miami, helping to expand the bank’s footprint in the southeastern region of the country.

Luiz joined SVB in 2020 to support southeastern technology clients in Florida. Before joining SVB, Luiz was a vice president and commercial bank relationship manager with BankUnited. At Wells Fargo, he was a relationship manager in the middle market and corporate banking groups, and he completed the bank’s Credit Management Training Program. Before joining the banking industry, Luiz had business ventures in Boston, Florida and Brazil — these have been some of his favorite life experiences. This diverse background inspires the work he does today. Luiz earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

When not working, he enjoys time with family and friends, grilling and cooking, adventure activities and traveling the world. He’s also an avid gamer.
