Fiona Hsu


Fiona has a wealth of experience in global banking and public financing programs. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2015, she spent more than eight years at MUFG Union Bank as VP of Community Development Finance and Director of the Global Business Coordination Unit. She has a passion and dedication to her work at SVB as Manager of Community Development Finance. Fiona oversees relationships with 25 affordable housing developer clients. She executes our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) strategy of $130 million in lending and $150 million in investment goals. In 2014 alone, SVB funded $90 million in new construction loans. 

Fiona’s good works continue outside the walls of SVB and around the world. She is a co-founder and now Board President of Spark - a philanthropic network of millennial philanthropists who make social impact investments to improve the lives of women and girls in the Bay Area and beyond. She’s a mentor at both Sweet Dreams Sewing Collective in San Francisco and Y-LEAP in Oakland. She’s active in the Young Women’s Career Conference, Oasis for Girls and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Mexico, India, and China.

She’s a graduate of University of California, Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy with a Master of Public Policy (MPP) and degrees in economics and sociology.
