Silicon Valley Bank's Mike Selfridge to Be Panelist at dc.internet.com Breakfast Forum February 8

Reston, VA -- February 8, 2001 -- Mike Selfridge, senior relationship manager of Silicon Valley Bank's Northern Virginia regional office, will be a panelist at the dc.internet.com Breakfast Forum. The forum will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2001 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Reston at 1800 Presidents Street in Reston, Virginia.

Selfridge will participate in a panel called "Venture Funding: Getting the Capital You Need," which will discuss where venture funding is, how much is available, how to present the perfect business plan and why a focused proposal is so important. The panel will also address include international venture funding and nontraditional opportunities for seed money. Other members of the panel include Michael T. Kehoe, chief business brain of eBrains, and Sean Mallon, partner of Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds. Roy Mark, news editor of dc.internet.com, will moderate the panel.

Selfridge joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1994 and began managing the Northern Virginia regional office in 1998. The office serves the financing needs of venture-backed emerging growth technology companies and venture capital firms in the Greater Washington D.C. region. Selfridge will be available for media interviews prior to and immediately following his participation in the panel.
