Silicon Valley Bank to Co-Sponsor Mass Opportunities: A Biotechnology Investment Conference October 30-31

Company News  |

BOSTON - Silicon Valley Bank (the "Bank"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Valley Bancshares, will co-sponsor MASS Opportunities: A Biotechnology Investment Conference - the third annual Investor Conference hosted by the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MBC). The conference will be held at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport in Boston on October 30-31.

The conference will include seven investor panels, showcasing 24 biotech companies. The panels will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing biotech companies in the current market. Roundtable discussions will also discuss maximizing the value of technology through partnering and trends in biotech investing.

"Silicon Valley Bank has been a long-time member of the MBC and appreciates the knowledge and connections it provides to our clients," said Joan Parsons, Silicon Valley Bank's Northeast division manager. "We are pleased to be a sponsor of this event where biotech CEOs, investors and researchers can come together and do business."

Silicon Valley Bank serves emerging growth and middle market companies in targeted niches, focusing on technology and life sciences, while also addressing other specific industries in which it can provide a higher level of service and better manage credit through specialization and focus.

The Bank operates throughout the Silicon Valley: Santa Clara, Palo Alto and Sand Hill, the center of the venture capital community in California. Other regional offices within California include: Irvine, Los Angeles, Napa Valley, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Sonoma.
