About the Author

As the senior market manager for Silicon Valley Bank, Robert oversees several business units for the bank, including Tech Banking in the Southeast Region, Relationship Advisors for Technology and Healthcare nationally and SVB Advantage program serving approximately 500 CFOs across the US. Robert works to ensure the needs of our client base are met, works closely with our venture partners to acquire and expand relationships with their portfolio companies, and focuses on the delivery of a differentiated experience for our clients, prospects, and partners across the ecosystem.

Robert joined SVB in 1999 when he opened the Dallas office for SVB. He worked out of the Dallas office until 2014 and held various roles for the bank. In 2014, he moved to Austin and established himself as a business leader in the technology community.

Prior to joining SVB, Robert was a commercial banker for JPMorgan Chase in Dallas for 13 years including 3 years as their Dallas Tech practice lead. Over the years, Robert has served on various technology ecosystem and charitable boards.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, running around Austin and spending time with friends he’s made through working with them at SVB.
