Micaela Amaroli

Micaela leads SVB’s Early-Stage Technology Banking team in Northern California. She is passionate about supporting founders and providing them with the network and resources to improve their probability of success, especially in the most critical early days.

Micaela has 14 years of experience in the world of startups, technology and investing. She started her career at an information services start-up, AlphaSights, in New York and went on to launch their San Francisco office in 2015. Before joining SVB, Micaela was a business manager in J.P. Morgan’s Technology Investment Banking team. She was also involved in standing up J.P. Morgan’s Technology Ventures practice — a $500 million investment vehicle for private technology startups.

Outside of work, Micaela is a former collegiate runner who enjoys combining her love of running with philanthropy for causes near and dear to her. Through her running, she’s helped raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in New York City and MassGeneral’s Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit in Boston. Micaela is also a volunteer for Back on My Feet, a nonprofit organization that fights homelessness through the power of fitness, community support and essential employment and housing resources.

She has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Johns Hopkins University. Originally from New Hampshire, she now calls the Bay Area home, where she lives with her husband and three young children.
