Anthony Vassallo is a Director on Silicon Valley Bank’s Crypto team. He has experienced ten years at the bank, and eight years bridging traditional banking and digital assets. He works directly with venture-backed blockchain pioneers, focusing on sustainable innovation. Anthony approaches crypto with optimism forged through skepticism, cutting through hype to support founders solving real problems. At heart, Anthony is a Bitcoiner.

Prior to his current role, Anthony was a Senior Product Manager at SVB, focused on commercial lending. Anthony also has experience in underwriting and portfolio management, supporting healthcare and technology companies across all growth stages.

Born and raised in Silicon Valley and now based in Austin, Anthony earned a post-graduate fellowship, master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. His approach is rooted in first principles thinking and a commitment to separating signal from noise.
