Heather Giles

Heather Giles is a senior relationship advisor on the Cleantech and Sustainability team for Silicon Valley Bank. She has more than 30 years of experience with the bank and works in the Newton office. Her responsibilities focus on onboarding, advising and helping clients, as well as serving as a resource to other relationship advisors, training new advisors and working closely with internal partners to ensure all client needs are met. Heather takes part in various projects and pilots, leveraging the deep knowledge she has gained throughout her years at SVB. She is passionate about developing strong relationships with her portfolio clients, colleagues and partners and genuinely enjoys her role as a trainer, resource and guide.

Heather’s earlier roles with the bank include working as a client account services team leader, client service supervisor and relationship advisor for corporate finance and technology portfolio clients. Her enthusiasm to take part in SVB’s volunteer programs was honored with the Silicon Valley Bank Community Service Award for her work with the eastern division Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family program; she has proudly given her time to this program for 25 years.

Heather earned a double bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology from Lake Forest College in Illinois.

Heather lives outside of Boston and is married with three children. When she is not working, she enjoys vacationing in Maine near Boothbay Harbor, skiing, boating and traveling. You might also find her with a glass of a nice Italian red wine while watching a classic or thriller movie.
