Boston, MA -- May 14, 2001 -- Silicon Valley East, a division of Silicon Valley Bank (the "Bank"), will be hosting an Executive Luncheon May 15 at the Silicon Valley East offices in Newton, Massachusetts. Dorian Vanessa Weaver of the Export-Import Bank of the United States will be the guest speaker.
Weaver's topic is "Leveraging Ex-Im Bank Programs to Finance Your International Sales." She will discuss how U.S. high-tech companies can leverage Ex-Im Bank programs - including working capital guarantees for exporters, credit insurance and foreign buyer loan and guarantee programs to obtain financing for their international sales.
Weaver is a member of the board of directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. She evaluates and approves $15.5 billion each year in loan guarantees, direct loans, insurance politics and working capital guarantees. Weaver is currently orchestrating new financial programs to help re-align the Bank to serve a technology driven service economy.
