Tracy Tuens is a managing director for SVB Private. In her role, she advises private equity and venture capital leaders, late-stage founders and investors to strategically navigate ever-changing financial environments. Tracy is focused on serving ultra-high net worth individuals and family office clients who are at the forefront of the innovation economy, and she works with a collaborative team of professionals to offer clients a cohesive experience backed by the power of the integrated SVB platform. Tracy enjoys offering clients a fresh perspective on comprehensive planning to align their business and investment interests, banking tax and estate planning and fiduciary and charitable objectives.
With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Tracy is an accomplished financial manager, leader and strategic advisor with expertise in personal finance and business operations. Before coming to SVB Private, she was a managing director, client advisory at Ascent Private Capital Management, where she concentrated on growing the firm’s market presence, client acquisition and enhancing existing relationships. Before that, she was a senior director for BNY Mellon Family Office and Charitable Solutions, advising significate private investors and family office clients on a broad array of sophisticated financial solutions. Earlier in her career, she served in senior vice president and vice president roles for Abbot Downing (a Wells Fargo business), US Trust and Bank of America and worked in Geneva, Switzerland for a multinational corporation.
Tracy earned a bachelor’s degree in international political economy from the University of California, Berkeley. She sits on the national board of directors of BizWorld.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing youth around the world for bright futures that support global economic growth and vibrancy; Tracy is also a board member of a high-performance apparel manufacturer.
Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys travel, art and the great outdoors. She has two sons, burgeoning engineers, in college.
