
Marvin Christian, CTFA
Marvin Christian is a Private Wealth Advisor with SVB Private Bank in Atlanta. Marvin provides banking, credit and specialized lines of credit programs for innovation sector founders, venture and private equity professionals, entrepreneurs and life science and technology executives. He also offers wealth management solutions through SVB Wealth Advisory. Marvin is dedicated to applying his knowledge of tax, estate and financial planning, investment management and trust and fiduciary strategies to develop specialized solutions for his clients that reflect their unique needs, goals and dynamic personal balance sheets.
Prior to joining SVB, Marvin served as a fiduciary consultant for Wells Fargo Private Bank’s Investment and Fiduciary Services team, which managed high-net-worth clients’ assets, from $1 million to $50 million, while providing trust and specialized wealth services. He also worked at Wells Fargo’s First Clearing Correspondent Services as a growth consultant. Prior to that, he worked as an equity trader with Wachovia Securities and as a Nasdaq market maker in the equities division of Goldman Sachs.
Marvin earned a computer science degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He also pursued graduate studies in international business at George Washington University and earned the Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation.
Marvin is an active alumnus of both Duke University and North Carolina A&T. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his family, including his three daughters.
