OFAC Restrictions

12/11/23

As a U.S. financial institution, Silicon Valley Bank is required to adhere to U.S. sanctions regulations which are administered and enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). To comply with these regulations, as of December 18,2023 we have controls in place to block access to Digital Banking from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. Restricted countries are:

  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • Syria
  • North Korea
  • Ukraine

How does this impact me?

If you are travelling to any of the restricted countries listed above, you will not be able to access Digital Banking while in that area. As soon as you return to a non-prohibited country, access will be available.

What will happen if I try to access from a blocked country?

If you are trying to access from one of the blocked countries, the below message will display on the screen when attempting to log in.
