Marcelo Gomes

Marcelo Gomes is a private wealth advisor with SVB Private, where he serves as the bank’s primary point of contact and provides strategic advice for entrepreneurs and leaders across the nation’s innovation ecosystem. Marcelo has worked in the financial services industry since 2002, first for Fleet National Bank (now Bank of America) in Boston and then for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., in Arizona, Florida and Utah. He quickly became known for his ability to develop trusting relationships and lead meaningful conversations with his clients to help them reach their financial goals, as well as help protect and transition their net worth to the next generation.

Marcelo graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with emphases in international business and communication. He also completed a Master of Business Administration through Phoenix-based Grand Canyon University and holds Series 7 and 66 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

A native of Brazil, Marcelo loves to learn about other cultures. He has explored all 50 United States and 29 countries, including Brazil, Portugal and Norway, where he has family. He is always eager and ready for his next adventure around the globe. In addition to English, he speaks Portuguese, Spanish and Cape Verdean Creole. He is currently learning Greek.
