Will there be any changes to my main contacts at Boston Private or SVB Private Bank?

No, your relationship manager, banker, wealth advisor and team will not change. We will continue to operate as we do today until our two companies are integrated. Until then, you can expect no changes to your accounts and the way you work with us. Our commitment to putting clients first will continue to inform our decisions regarding our combined businesses and maintaining clients’ main points of contact.

Will my account number, wire instructions, routing number, auto-debit instructions, etc. change?

No, not at this time. Your SVB and Boston Private accounts will continue to operate as they do today until the acquisition is complete and the companies are integrated. Until then, you can expect no changes to your accounts and the way you work with us. As we integrate our two firms, you will be informed well in advance of any changes.

How long will the integration take?

The integration of the two firms will take time, however we anticipate completing the majority of the work in 12-18 months. As we integrate our two firms, you will be informed well in advance of any changes.

How much notice will I be given about changes that may affect me?

Can I visit an SVB office or ATM now to conduct my transactions with Boston Private?

Boston Private clients may continue to use any ATM to make a withdrawal or check balances. No ATM fees are charged for these transactions, as Boston Private rebates all third-party ATM fees. We will notify you when you are able to use SVB branches for other banking services, such as deposits.

Can I use a Boston Private branch or ATM now to conduct my transactions with SVB?

SVB Private Bank clients may continue to use any ATM, including Boston Private ATMs, to make a withdrawal or check balances. No ATM fees are charged for these transactions, as SVB rebates all third-party ATM fees. We will notify you when you are able to use Boston Private ATMs and visit Boston Private branches for other banking services, such as deposits.

Will any of the Boston Private branches close?

We are in the process of evaluating our combined branch footprint and will make decisions about potential future closures on a case-by-case basis.

Will Boston Private’s name change?

No, not at this time. However, you may notice a change to the Boston Private logo, which has been updated to reflect the relationship with SVB. References to SVB will also begin to appear in disclosure language and in some account documentation.
