Boston Private is pleased to announce the appointment of Emmett Maguire III as Managing Director of Search and Selection.
Mr. Maguire will lead Boston Private’s external manager search, selection and due diligence processes. In addition, he will be an integral part of the firm’s Asset Allocation Working Group, bringing his expertise in multi-asset class investing and portfolio construction to the firm’s creation and delivery of best-in-class investment solutions. Mr. Maguire will report directly to Executive Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Shannon Saccocia.

Prior to joining Boston Private, Mr. Maguire worked as the Investment and Treasury Manager at Draper. He previously spent seven years at Lake Street Advisors as Director of Investments where he was responsible for leading research, selection and oversight of the firm’s investment managers, as well as creating capital market assumptions and overseeing the firm’s asset allocation across all asset classes. Earlier in his career, Mr. Maguire worked for several years as a Research Analyst at Twin Focus Capital Partners, where he developed the firm’s manager research process.
