Megan Scheffel

Megan Scheffel is the head of credit solutions for Life Science and Healthcare at Silicon Valley Bank. She and her team specialize in providing comprehensive financial products and flexible lending solutions to clients at every stage of development. Prior to this role, Megan was a global senior credit officer for the Life Science and Healthcare practice. 
 
Formerly, Megan served as the region manager for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic division. In this role, she led teams dedicated to serving emerging, growth, and established technology and life science companies and worked closely with a number of private equity and venture capital clients, playing a role in the bank’s business development efforts.
 
Since joining SVB in 1997, Megan has served in a number of offices around the US. She began her career at SVB’s Santa Clara, California headquarters, where she was responsible for handling credit functions and compliance issues and providing analyst support for lenders in the Northern California and Northwest regions. Megan later moved to SVB’s Boulder, Colorado office, working with local technology companies.
 
Megan is active in supporting entrepreneurial organizations and events throughout the Washington D.C. area. Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in finance, from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
