Aaron Gershenberg

Aaron Gershenberg is the managing partner of the funds management group with SVB Capital. Gershenberg joined SVB in 1999 and has over twenty years of private equity investing, financial services and consulting experience.

Since raising SVB Capital's first fund with outside limited partners in 2000, Gershenberg has helped build a family of proprietary and sponsored funds that offer institutional limited partners opportunities to invest in top-tier private equity and venture funds and their portfolio companies. Today, SVB Capital has over $1.5b under management across 6 fund of funds, 4 co-investment funds and separate accounts.

Prior to joining SVB Capital, Gershenberg oversaw the opening of FirstCorp’s Northern California office, a venture leasing company. In this capacity, Gershenberg was responsible for providing venture financing to more than 50 startup technology companies. Previously, Gershenberg was part of the investment banking group for Union Bank of California and the consulting practice of Deloitte & Touche.

Gershenberg earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Wesleyan University and a master's degree in finance from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
