to lead its Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions for the company. In this role, Scheffel manages teams that are dedicated to serving emerging, middle-market and established technology and life science companies. Scheffel works closely with a number of private equity and venture capital clients and plays a key role in SVB’s business development efforts.

Scheffel joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1997 in its Santa Clara, Calif. headquarters. She later moved to Silicon Valley Bank’s Boulder, Colo. office to work with local technology companies. Today, Scheffel actively supports entrepreneurial organizations and events throughout the D.C. area. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in finance, from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
