Investment and fundraising in the healthcare ecosystem continued strongly in 2017 despite the political uncertainty across Europe and the US. The health of the early stage ecosystem is underpinned with a strong global performance in Series A biopharma and we continue to see a convergence of technologies and approaches between traditional product development and the use of advances software and hardware.
